We are Home Owners!

Darick and I are SO thrilled that we have finally gone to settlement on our house! We are in the process of moving in....slowly....we have so much stuff!
This past weekend we had TONS of help from some of our amazing friends. We painted, cleaned, ripped up carpeting, and have started to make it our own. There is much more work to do, but the process is so fun :)

Thank you to all of our friend and family who have supported us throughout this process! WE ARE ECSTATIC!! Having a wedding AND buying a house all in one year has been a challenge, and we couldn't have done it without everyone's support. A HUGE thank you to my Mom, who has let us stay with her for the past 2 years to save the money to make such a big purchase. She's always supported us, and for that, we are forever grateful! Without her, this would NOT have been a possibility. She is the best Marmee in the whole world!!

We plan to have a housewarming party most likely in the spring time. We just need to buy a BBQ!! :)

Honeymoon Preview!

Here are some shots from our FABULOUS honeymoon at Secret's Wild Orchid in Jamaica! We were there for 9 days and we could have stayed forever :)

I'm back! ....again!

Ohhh hello dear friends, it's me! Probably thought I feel off the face of the planet huh?
Well, I kind of did. It's been a crazy few months and we are just now getting settled again after our wedding & honeymoon....JUST in time for the hustle & bustle of the holidays.
A dear friend of mine called me out while we were at a wedding together a couple weeks ago. I believe it was the first thing that she said as we sat down for dinner... "So...what's up with your blog? Hello! Get with it!" Or something to that effect. And she's right! I've been so caught up in this day-to-day life stuff, and even just a few sentences into this, I'm remembering how therapeutic it is to just sit down and type. So, thank you Mads! You're the best :)
I'm going to go through some pictures from the pre-wedding festivities and some honeymoon pictures and get them up here ASAP!
It feels good to be back, even if this was just my intro. xoxo

Top 5 Spring Favs

There are hundreds of reasons why I love each season, but there is something special about Spring. It's the time of year when everything has a fresh, new, youthful start. After the cold and damp winter is behind us, we all start again, and here are my top 5 favorite things about Spring! (in no particular order)

1. The smell of fresh cut grass, even though I'm allergic!

2. Spring flowers, of course! So cute, as they emerge from their winter slumber.

3. The first time I switch from hot coffee, to iced coffee. I always look foward to this, it's a true indicater that Spring is here! :)

4. Love. Everyone and everything seems to have a little extra love/compassion this time of year.

Last, but certainly NOT least:

5. Dining al fresco/BBQs! Nothing like a warm evening with a cool beverage, and whipping up your own creation of the grill.

Spring, we've missed you!

Love is in the Air!

No promises of course, but I'd like to begin blogging again... AT LEAST once a week!

I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. It's April for goodness sakes! My very dear friends are getting married THIS WEEKEND! I remember the engagement like it was yesterday!

I cannot believe how many of my closest friends are getting married this year. Are we adults now or something? What did I miss?
After Ty & Barbara this weekend, I have 2 weddings to go to before Myrick & Suzy tie the knot in Ocean City. Then it's just a few short months until our BIG DAY! After that, our cousin is getting married, and then Jessica & Andy in November! Ahhh what a wonderful year full of exciting times!

All of our planning is going very smoothly. I am very lucky, I have the MOST supportive fiance, who is super involved, and I am so thankful for that! He has his own opinions on things, and changes things to his liking. I love that its HIS day too, not just 'mine'.

The most exciting thing that happened recently would have been meeting with the florist for our centerpiece mock-up. I died. I am in love with my florist. Please, anyone who needs a florist, call Sharone at DaVinci Florist. He is a GENIUS.
I am so excited for everything to come together. I can almost smell the aromas of fresh cut flowers.

I promise to try to get back on here and update you at least once a week!! Thanks for not giving up on me!

XOXO
